I’m an MYP4 student at AICS in Amsterdam. I care a lot about sustainability, making sure every student is heard, and bringing our school community together through events and projects I help run.
I’m in MYP4 at AICS. I like the idea that the things we build now; the clubs, the events, the little traditions, can stick around long after I leave. So I put a lot of time into making sure other students actually want to take them over.
On the Student Council, I speak for the MYP4 South-East group. I bring up the things that matter to us when we talk with school leaders. I’m also on the community team, helping organize whole-school events and fundraisers. And I’m the class rep for MYP4H, if something’s bugging my classmates, I’m the one who brings it up.
Running the Eco Club and Global Citizenship Club has taught me to balance two things: doing practical stuff for the environment, and getting students to talk about the world beyond Amsterdam. Those two perspectives come together in pretty much every event I help plan.
Active
I head up the Eco Club. I help decide what we focus on, run events, and try to make sustainability something everyone at AICS just does, not a special project.
I head the Global Citizenship Club, where we create activities that get students thinking about different cultures and what it means to be a global citizen.
I’m the Student Council rep for all MYP4 South-East students. I make sure our ideas and worries get heard. I also work on the community team to organize events and fundraisers for the whole school.
I’m the class rep for MYP4H. I pass on feedback between students and teachers and try to make everyday class life a bit better.
In the VEX Robotics Club, I help the teacher organize our regional and national tournaments. If a team qualifies for Worlds, I’ll help sort logistics and fundraise to support them.
Elected to the Executive Board for 2026‑27. I’ll help shape what the Student Council focuses on, run meetings, and make sure the student voice actually leads to change across the school.
As Head of Operations, I’ll handle the behind‑the‑scenes stuff: budget, room bookings, communications, the Council Instagram, and the Student Dashboard, so everything runs smoothly.
Representing the full South-East MYP5 year group on the AICS Student Council, bringing student perspectives into school-wide decisions.
Planning & Delivery
For the second year, I’m on the team organizing GCD. We’re planning a day that celebrates all the different cultures at AICS Also managing the event website.
I’m already working on EcoVision 2027. This time we want it bigger; more schools, deeper conversations about sustainability, and even more student involvement.
For Earth Day, I led a seed‑bomb workshop for Group 6 students. We had fun making them while talking about local plants and why pollinators matter. It was a simple activity, but I think they’ll remember the idea that small things can help nature.
I’m led the Green Exchange, where we hosted 45 students from a Danish school for dyslexic learners. I designed sustainability activities that everyone can join in, no matter their learning style.
I coordinated AICS Eco-Club's largest sustainability event, bringing together 100 attendees from 15 schools. Managed teams, logistics, and sponsor relationships with Vodafone, Eco-Schools, The European Pizza Company, and New York Pizza. Led end-to-end from concept to delivery.
The 2nd iteration of Eco-Day, this year, everyone wears green, and we give out fruit and seeded bookmarks that students can plant at home.
I joined the GCD team for the first time, helping plan the day, run activities, and take care of the website. It was a full‑school celebration of all the different cultures at AICS.
Student-Led
I started the Statieheld Machines project at AICS. We have reverse vending machines that reward students for recycling, and I handle getting more people involved and keeping the machines running.
I’m building a merchandise line for AICS, we’ve done pop‑up sales, and we will start selling in September 2026. The money goes to Student Council projects, and it’s also a fun way to build school spirit.
I’m helping to make free sanitary pads and tampons available at school. It’s a small change that makes a real difference.
If you’re a student, teacher, or just someone who cares about sustainability and student voice, I’d love to chat.

AICS named Eco-School of the Month
Eco-Schools named AICS ‘Eco-School of the Month’ because of the work our Eco Club and EcoVision event do, and the way students have taken charge of sustainability at school.
